To Use Water Or Not To Use Water in Urinal Flushing

Auto Flushers

To keep your toilets and urinals clean, you can easily install auto flush sensors to be retrofitted to your existing flush valves. This ensures a flush after every use, even when the user forgets or avoids flushing the fixture. You should not have to call a plumber since you will not have to turn your water main off, or use special tools beyond a large crescent wrench. In the 21st Century, these automatic flush valves use only about a single gallon per flush and 1/8th of a gallon in urinals. Prior to our understanding water conservation, typical toilets and urinals flushed 5-8 gallons per flush.

Waterless Urinals

Auto flush valves also require calibration, testing, plumbing maintenance and use water to flush waste away. This is where waterless urinals make their entrance! You may believe you cannot have a clean, sanitary restroom without flushing, but if you understand how the waterless urinal cartridges work, you can see how removing the flush is actually far more sanitary, especially with airborne bacteria.
